Our Year-end Fundraiser is December 12 - 15, and will be an important time to make sure that WGTS ends 2017 strong. Your gifts help spread the hope of Jesus across our community, so that together, we'll encourage countless lives in the year ahead with His life-changing love.
In order to complete our commitments for 2017, we're counting on you to help us meet the $500,000 need. Please be in prayer about what you can do to be a part. Remember, your gifts are always tax-deductible. ~Kevin Krueger, VP/General Manager

St. Lawrence Martyr Parish's "SIT Ministry" - in which prayer, awareness, and action come together to support persecuted Christians around the world -- is holding a prayer vigil at the Hanover, MD worship center. The vigil will include prayer, hymns, and benediction/adoration with the Blessed Sacrament. We are honored to have noted writer and speaker, Matt Walsh, provide a reflection at the event. There is no charge for the vigil, but donations to SIT St. Lawrence will be accepted. All donations support the education of persecuted Assyrian Christians in northern Iraq, who are rebuilding in their Nineveh Plain homeland. All are welcome regardless of religious affiliation. People can come to any or all of the event and refreshments will be held following the vigil's end. SIT, which stands for "Trinitarian International Solidarity" (translation from Spanish), is an outreach ministry started by the Trinitarian religious order in 1999. St. Lawrence in Hanover, MD is the first lay person-driven version of this ministry in the country. We would be delighted if you joined us. Any questions please e-mail Matt Behum at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the St. Lawrence rectory at 410-799-1970.share

Busy parents are invited to bring their children to Christmas for Kids at Christ Lutheran Church (on Clarksville Pike/Rte. 108, just south of Guilford Road near Route 32) from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, on Saturday, December 16. This program is a free program open to children age four up through the 6th grade, no matter their background or affiliation, and parents are welcome to sign in and then pick up their children after the program. Hear the News the Angels Bring!, this year’s program, focuses on the “good news of great joy … for all people” (Luke 2:10) that is the Christmas message, so that children understand the importance of the holiday and what it all means. At a time when children tend to look forward to getting toys and games, this year’s program will help children look forward to Jesus’ coming to give them what is most important. The event will include the Christmas story, music, special crafts, and a snack — and fun! Due to space limitations, and also to ensure that we can contact you if we need to cancel the event due to winter weather, pre-registration is requested. To register a child, please visit the church web site — www.christlutheran.net — or call Audrey at (410) 730-5209 (Christmas for Kids registration only). Interested parents may also call the church office at (301) 854-2100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.share
